The Lash Lifting technique is used to perm natural lashes to create a beautiful curled effect. It is the perfect alternative to lash extensions as the treatment takes half the amount of time, lasts longer and is more cost-effective.
MelaBeauty offers both top and bottom Lash Lifts. For those with long, but misguided or kinked lower lashes, consider booking a Top & Bottom Lash Lift. A (top and/or bottom) Lash Tint can also be added to the service upon booking to further define your lashes and intensify the results.
**Clients with short lashes or hooded eyes, may not be able to fully appreciate the effects of a Lash Lift, and should seek an alternative such as Lash Extensions in order to achieve their lash goals.**
MelaBeauty uses InLei® Lash Filler.
"InLei® Lash Filler is a product line entirely made in Italy. This revolutionary treatment is not like your usual lash lift. It gives natural lashes a soft and greater silkiness and nourishes the hair structure. It in the only treatment in the world clinically proven to thicken the hair, increasing thickness by an average of 24% in just three sessions." - https://inleicanada.ca/
The curled effect will last up to 6-8 weeks, but depend where you are in your lash cycle. A natural lash cycle lasts 40-45 days. Once mature lashes naturally cycle and fall out, new lashes will grow and will need to be curled to maintain a uniform appearance.
Recommended Lash Lift frequency is every 6 weeks.
No aftercare is required as lashes have been chemically treated, however, it is recommended that you refrain from weighing down the lashes or sleeping on your face for 24 hours post appointment. The solutions are still working for this period and in order to achieve the most lift, keeping weight from makeup or water is recommended. After 24 hours, you may start wearing mascara.
Recommended Product: MelaBeauty "Growth" for Lash & Brow.
"Growth" is all-natural and helps to strengthen and thicken lashes. Apply each night before bed.
Those with natural, light-coloured eyelashes can now skip the mascara! A semi-permanent, vegetable-based pigment mixed with a peroxide activator, is applied to your natural lashes.
Results last 3-5 weeks, but depend where you are in your lash cycle. A natural lash cycle lasts 40-45 days. Once mature lashes naturally cycle and fall out, new lashes will grow and will need to be tinted to maintain a uniform appearance.
Recommended Lash tinting frequency is every 4 weeks.
No aftercare is required.

A modern, COVID-19 considerate twist on Threading...
A special hand tool is used to remove unwanted facial hair, instead of traditional Threading performed with only the hands and mouth, to hold the thread.
Threading is:
- Delicate on skin, compared to waxing or tweezing
- Stimulates circulation under skin tissue
- Weakens the hair, causing it to grow more sparsely
- Hair is removed from the root, so it takes longer to grow back
At your appointment, you can choose between Threading, Cold wax or Hot Wax epilation methods. Most people have a preference to which method is used.
MelaBeauty offers facial epilation only. Book Brow, Lip or Cheek epilation appointments based on your needs.

Ideal for clients who have or could experience damaged lash and brow hair or who are taking a break from Lash Extensions.
A technique of eyelash extensions where one single lash extension is attached to one natural lash using adhesive. Classic lashes are perfect for clients who naturally have full lashes, but want to add length.

Classic extensions look most natural.
After your Full Set-Eyelash Extension appointment, you will lose Eyelash Extensions in one of three ways:
1. As natural lashes shed, your Lash Extensions will shed with them.
2. The bond of the Lash Extensions and adhesive will weaken with dirt, stress and time.
3. Lash Extensions will grow out and will no longer look uniform and will need to be removed and replaced during a "refill" appointment, recommended every 2-3 weeks.
Refill appointments can be performed on individuals who have received eyelash extensions in the last 2-4 weeks. If less than 40% of the lash extensions remain, you will be charged for a full set.
In the first 24 hours after treatment:
Avoid hot water or steam. It can breakdown your lash adhesive.
Avoid wearing eye makeup after your appointment - especially mascara!

Ongoing care tips:
Keep lashes clean and free of debris.
Use clear, oil-free, water-based mascara every couple of days to coat lashes and extend wear. Available for purchase from MelaBeauty.
Avoid oil-based skincare products, cleansers, and makeup removers as they cause the adhesive to breakdown faster.
Avoid oil-based eye makeup. When removing eyeliner, use a cotton swab with oil-free makeup remover.
Do not use mechanical eyelash curlers.
Avoid putting your face directly into the shower water; the water pressure may result in damage to your Lash Extensions.
Sleep on your side or back to avoid pressing your lashes into the pillow.
If this can't be helped, a silk pillow case will help reduce breakage and loss as the smooth surface glides over the lashes instead of causing friction.
Brush out your lashes with a mascara wand at least once a day, especially after getting them wet. Use a twisting/curling motion instead of tugging or pulling.
Keep lashes away from direct heat, such as blow dryers, BBQs, or when opening the oven, as they can cause your lash extensions to sizzle on the ends!

Lash Fills and Removal
A lash fill should be done every 2-4 weeks depending on which style of lashes you have, the retention your body keeps, and your body's natural lash cycle.
The average person loses about 5 lashes per day naturally during a normal lash cycle, so do not be alarmed as this is normal.
Please come in for removals; do not attempt to remove your lashes at home. It is a quick and painless procedure when done professionally and keeps the integrity of your natural lashes.
This technique is the half-way point between Classic eyelash extensions and Volume (Russian) eyelash extensions. Perfect for those who want length, but also want volume to fill in any thinner sections.
Applying longer Classic extensions with shorter 3D and 4D Volume (Russian) extensions, results in a staggered and dimensional look.

The Mega Volume Lash Extension technique adds length and thickness to eyelashes. Eyelash extension fans with 5-12 extension lashes are attached to each natural lash, resulting in the most fullness and fluffiness available between all extension styles available.
Please note: the weight and length used will be determined based on the health and strength of your natural lashes. Over-loading natural lashes with too much weight will result in damage.
